Joy pride and community filled the streets of Oakland on February 22 as more than 50 Alameda Health System (AHS) employees took part in the annual Black Joy Parade.
Walking alongside neighbors and community partners, AHS team members celebrated Black culture, creativity, and resilience while honoring the communities we serve.
This year marked AHS’ third year participating in the parade an event that brings thousands of people together in downtown Oakland each February during Black History Month.
The AHS Black Employees and Ally Network BEAN invited staff along with their family and friends to join the celebration and walk together in support of the community.
AHS is proud to stand with our neighbors in celebrating Black joy and supporting the East Bay.
