Today, that legacy continues, with Alameda Hospital earning an “A” in the Spring 2026 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national recognition of excellence in patient safety.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is widely considered the gold standard measure of patient safety, evaluating how well hospitals protect patients from preventable harm, including medical errors, injuries and infections.
Alameda Hospital’s “A” rating highlights strong performance in safety systems, teamwork and clinical practices designed to protect patients. For patients and families, this distinction offers reassurance that Alameda Hospital meets the highest standards for safety and quality.
Alameda Hospital provides emergency, inpatient, outpatient and wellness services to the community, including cardiology, 24-hour laboratory services, cancer care, advanced diagnostic imaging, pulmonary and respiratory care, a stroke center, and occupational, speech and physical therapy.
