Alameda Health System’s (AHS) Backpack and School Supply Drives are underway so let’s do what we can to help our neighborhood children succeed!
The cost of school supplies can be a significant hurdle for many families, especially this year with prices soaring at all-time highs. Families are struggling to keep food on the table and gas in the tank and back-to-school supplies may take a back seat.
Since 2019, AHS has held successful backpack and school supply drives for neighborhood schools. In partnership with local school districts, seven schools were identified, one near each AHS facility, that needs the extra support.
The generosity of AHS staff and the community will help a generation of students walk through school doors this year ready and able to learn. That support has never been more important. A new backpack full of supplies like paper, pens, folders, and colored pencils, can go a long way in supporting our youth!
Each neighborhood school has slightly different needs so please see the flyers below for additional details. All supply drives run through July so get your donations in today.
