Alameda Health System (AHS) Chief Executive Officer, James Jackson, Interim Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Beth Mahler, and Vice President of Population Health Dr. Mini Swift attended a roundtable hosted by Congresswoman Barbara Lee last month.

During the discussion, Congresswoman Lee shared updates on her work in Washington D.C., including her recent introduction of the Health Equity and Accountability Act of 2024 and the National Food as Medicine Act. The roundtable provided a forum for health care stakeholders in Congresswoman Lee’s district to connect and discuss issues around health equity, access to care and community health care needs. AHS is grateful to Congresswoman Lee’s leadership in championing safety-net health care services. This roundtable strengthens the network among health care stakeholders as we welcome a new congressional delegation to our community.
