Fight Flu. Get Vaccinated!

Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness that can cause mild to severe illness. A bad case of the flu can result in hospitalization or even death.

Remember, your doctor’s office or primary care clinic is the best place to get your vaccines so don’t forget to ask about your flu shot at your next visit.

Patients can get their flu vaccine by calling the AHS Ambulatory Call Center at 510-437-8500, or by drop-in at all AHS wellness clinics:

Protect yourself and your baby by getting vaccinated against the flu

Influenza can be life-threatening for newborns and pregnant women. Getting the flu vaccine during pregnancy helps protect mothers and their newborn from the flu.

The flu vaccine is safe for both you and your baby and can be obtained during any trimester. It is recommended to get the flu vaccine during pregnancy as soon as the vaccine becomes available.
