Change in OMFS (Oral Maxillofacial Surgery) affiliation and new Residency Director
On July 7th, 2020 AHS started a new affiliation with UCSF OMFS program under the leadership of Dr. Brian Bast, Chair of OMFS at UCSF.
Under this affiliation and in collaboration with AHS, UCSF has been able to recruit four full time faculty physicians who graduated from the best fellowship programs in the nation to serve our AHS patients. They will be starting at various times during the next year. Dr. Afzali has already started as the interim program director for residency program.
This partnership with UCSF, which is the result of long discussions and preparations, will aim at furthering the mission of AHS in providing the highest quality and safest care to our community and in eliminating health care disparity.
