Each year thousands of seniors celebrate Healthy Aging Month and take action to improve their quality of life at the United Seniors of Oakland and Alameda County (USOAC) Healthy Living Festival. Over the years Alameda Health System (AHS) has supported these kinds of worthwhile efforts that empower older adults to make healthy choices.
The Healthy Living Festival held at the Oakland Zoo, September 30, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. is the largest senior health and wellness fair in Alameda County. Last year, the festival went virtual. This year the festival will be held as a drive-thru event following all COVID-19 safety protocols. Free on-site COVID testing, vaccinations and flu shots will be available. AHS is excited to join in-person to provide blood pressure screenings, health education and fall prevention information.
All seniors, their providers, family members and friends attending the Healthy Living Festival drive-thru event must register in advance to receive a free meal and swag bag. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/18th-annual-healthy-living-festival-free-drive-thru-event-registration-162715403151
