Alameda Health System is excited to witness the success of a new and innovative approach to Black maternal health care that creates improved experience and care outcomes – bridging the gap in health care disparities in the Black community. BElovedBIRTH Black Centering’s first group of Black women report high satisfaction and impeccable support in the birthing process – making them feel safe, empowered and heard.
Using Black Maternal Health Week (April 11-17) as a national platform we will be honoring our first group of women who have first-hand experience with the gold package of care that BElovedBIRTH Black Centering is known for. This week, we feature stories that bring to life the wrap-around experience that Black birthing women can expect at the Eastmont Clinic and Highland Hospital. Check out our video with a member of the BElovedBIRTH Black Centering community.
If you are pregnant or know someone who is, check out our resources on our BElovedBIRTH Black Centering website page where you can find information on the impeccable support women receive in the program including videos, blogs and photos of beautiful Black women experiencing a healthy and wholistic birthing process.
