Alameda Health System (AHS) is once again launching its Adopt-A-Family program in hopes of bringing holiday cheer to patients. Adopt-A-Family is coordinated by AHS Health Advocates in partnership with the Alameda Health System Foundation (AHSF).
Every year AHS staff select a family from a list of AHS patients and provide them with holiday gift cards. The cards are given to families at an event held at the Wilma Chan Highland Hospital campus in December. This year the deadline for AHS staff to select a family is November 30 and the deadline for turning in gift cards is December 1st.
Anyone wishing to support the Adopt-A-Family program can refer to the list to select a family, drop off gift cards in Health Advocates office (A1 RM 5) or give a donation to the AHSF online or send a check made out to Alameda Health System Foundation with Adopt-a-Family in the memo line to: Alameda Health System Foundation, 55 Harrison Street, Suite 600, Oakland, CA 94607.
